Rhode Island Girl Gets Vaccinated After FDA Approves Pfizer Shot for Young Teenagers

Rhode Island administered its one millionth coronavirus jab on May 11, a day after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for adolescents 12 years and up.

COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective,” Rhode Island governor Dan McKee said in a statement. “I’m urging all parents to get their 12 to 15-year-olds vaccinated. This vaccine will help keep kids, families, and our community safe.”
