Red Crabs Seen Climbing Over Road Bridge on Christmas Island

Large numbers of red crabs were seen climbing towards, and over, a road bridge on Christmas Island on October 23.

The red crab migration session, when the crustaceans on the island make their way to coast to breed, is usually in October or November, according to Parks Australia.
