Rain Turns to Ice as Storm Sweeps Through West Virginia

Vehicles and roads alike were covered in ice on Friday, December 13, after freezing rain swept across portions of southern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia.

The region was under a winter weather advisory through Friday morning, according to local weather reports. Ice accumulation of less than a tenth of an inch was just enough to cover the vehicle seen in this footage, taken in Lewisburg, West Virginia.

According to WOAY, roads were shut down and collisions reported due to the icy conditions. Credit: @angelalovesbvb4 via Storyful
