Protesters 'Take a Knee' During George Floyd Demonstration in Albuquerque

Protesters lined the streets chanting, holding signs and kneeled as one in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on May 28 over the the police-involved death of George Floyd in Minneapolis earlier that week.

Video shows protestors marching and chanting in central Albuquerque, as well as kneeling, or “taking a knee.”

The Albuquerque Journal later reported that police officers in “riot gear fired tear gas as they retreated from a confrontation with protesters in a Southeast Albuquerque neighborhood overnight.” Credit: Liam DeBonis, The Daily Lobo via Storyful
