Plane Pulls Pro-NYPD Banner Over Rockaway Beach

A message supportive of the New York Police Department (NYPD) was flown over Rockaway Beach in Queens on July 5.

The plane pulled a banner reading “Rockaway and Breezy Pt Support the NYPD” over the Rockaway peninsula around 4 pm on Sunday afternoon, said former NYPD Chief Joseph Fox, who filmed the video from the beach boardwalk.

Residents chipped in for the demonstration, which was in response to a plane flown over Rockaway Beach on June 21 with the message ‘#PoliceFreeSchoolsNow.’

Local media shared video of beachgoers cheering as the plane flew overhead.
