Ontario Police Search for Singed Suspect in Beauty Salon Arson

A suspect who set fire to a beauty salon in the Toronto suburb of Vaughan may actually be in need of the services of one, after police said they may have singed their eyebrows in the process.

Police said on Twitter on January 28 they were seeking help identifying the suspect in a January 3 incident, who “may have burned their hoodie and their eyebrows”.

According to York Regional Police, officers responded to a beauty salon near Bathurst Street and Rutherford Road following reports of a fire.

CCTV released by police shows an individual pouring flammable liquid at the side of the building and then lighting it, causing it to flare up quickly.

Police said the suspect fled in a red mid-sized vehicle, driven by a second suspect. Credit: York Regional Police via Storyful
