Newark Floods as Tropical Storm Fay Hits East Coast

Newark, New Jersey, was under water on Friday, July 10, as Tropical Storm Fay hit the East Coast, according to the National Hurricane Center.

A tropical storm warning was in place for Northeastern coastal states, including Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. Fay’s maximum sustained winds reached 60 mph by Friday afternoon at 2 pm, the National Hurricane Center said.
