More Homes Burn in North Carolina Town Where Fires Broke Out After Storm Isaias

Multiple structures caught on fire in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, on Thursday, August 6, as a result of the flooding brought on by Hurricane Isaias earlier in the week, according to officials.

At least two homes were destroyed and one person was “seriously” injured by Thursday’s blaze, local media reported, citing officials. South Carolina’s Horry County Fire Rescue said its crews were called in to help fight blazes in North Carolina shortly after 1 am on Thursday.

Desiree Feyer captured this footage, which shows a number of structures on fire in the early hours of Thursday. The latest blaze was likely caused by a flooded-out car that ignited, according to local media reports.
