A Michigan man achieved his dubious goal of “winter swimming” on February 16, braving frigid temperatures and ice to jump feet-first into Lake Superior.
In a video filmed by Mandy Moran, the man, identified only as Marcus, can be seen running toward the edge of a small cliff in Marquette, Michigan, before jumping straight off into the water, fully clothed.
Moran’s post was accompanied by the caption, “Mandy’s goal: winter camping // Marcus’s goal: winter swimming.”
Marcus, whose Instagram page said he is from the “West Coast of MI,” also shared the video.
