Mario Kart Fans Compete From Afar During Texas Library's Social-Distance Gaming Event
A library in Pottsboro, Texas, hosted a social distancing video game night on March 28 for those looking to have some fun outside of the house but still keep a safe distance amid the coronavirus pandemic.
This video, filmed by Pottsboro Library Director Dianne Connery, shows several cars parked in front of a trailer that has Mario Kart projected onto it for gamers to enjoy.
“The days of drive-in movies may be behind us, but let us introduce you to drive-in esports!” Pottsboro Library said on Facebook. “Everyone had a blast playing Mario Kart from the safety of their own cars.”
Connery told Storyful utilizing the projector and a Nintendo Switch made game night " very easy" to set up.
“Each player either picked up a freshly sanitized controller or attached their own and played from their car,” she said. Credit: Pottsboro Library via Storyful
