Marchers in Atlanta Protest George Floyd Killing

Demonstrators gathered at Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park and marched to the Georgia State Capitol on May 29 to protest the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis four days earlier, video shows.

This footage was taken in various locations in downtown Atlanta, including the Olympic Park. Protesters chanted “Justice … now,” “Police the police,” and “Black lives matter.” Many wore masks per the state’s recommended coronavirus precautions.

Derek Chauvin, the ex-officer who was seen pinning Floyd to the ground amid his cries of “I can’t breathe,” was arrested on third-degree murder and manslaughter charges on Friday.
