Mankini-Clad Flashmob Flocks to Sydney's Iconic Bondi Beach

Dozens of mankini-clad men flocked to Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach on October 22 in a promotional stunt held on the eve of the release of Sacha Baron Cohen’s second Borat film.

This footage, shot by Avi Melniker and compiled by Storyful, shows the men dancing on cordoned off sections of the beach as onlookers watch and photographers take shots.

In addition to the flashmob, media reported a six-metre statue of Borat was delivered via helicopter to Bondi’s Marks Park.

Dressed as Borat, Baron Cohen addressed Australian media via live stream, saying it gave him “great pleasure to present you with this giant Borat erection at Bondi Beach.” Credit: @thebondilocal via Storyful
