Man Opens Fire Inside Busy LA Bar, Injures One

Video released by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on January 17 shows the moment a man opened fire inside a busy bar in the early hours of January 4. Detectives were seeking help from the public identifying the suspect.

The LAPD said the shooting occurred at a bar in the 2700 block of West 7th Street in Westlake at around 12.50 am, and that one man was injured.

Police said the victim had become involved in an argument with the suspect. The suspect pulled a gun from his waistband and shot and injured the man, police said.

The suspect fled the scene after the shooting. He was described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds, between 35 and 40 years of age.
