Louisville Restaurant Robber Foiled by Cops Having a Meal

Two police officers foiled a robbery in Louisville, Kentucky, on February 15 after a man walked into the restaurant where they were eating and demanded money from the cashier, police said.

Footage released by the Louisville Metro Police Department shows the suspect walking into Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers in Mid City Mall as two Elizabethtown Police Department officers were eating. As soon as one of the officers realized a robbery was taking place, the officers jumped into action and chased the suspect from the restaurant, the footage shows.

Police said the officers pursued the suspect in the Highlands neighborhood and made the arrest with 5th Division officers. “You never know who’s minding their own business but ready to put in work,” police wrote on Facebook as they released the video.
