Locals Protest as Erdogan Hints at Possible Turkish Offensive in North Syria

Hundreds of residents living in a Kurdish-held town in north Syria marched towards the Turkish border on December 19 to protest against a proposed Turkish offensive in the region, according to local reports.

The Kurdish news outlet ANHA reported that residents of Ras al-Ayn, also known as Sari Kani, demonstrated near the Turkish border in protest at the proposed Turkish offensive. Protesters held signs that read “No to Erdogan’s Terrorism.”
