'Indescribable' Joy as Planes Airdrop Aid to Gaza

A large crowd gathered at a Gaza beach as Jordan carried out airdrops along the coast on February 26.

Jordan’s Armed Forces said they conducted four aid drops along the coast on Monday, with one plane from the French army also involved.

The aid included “ready-made meals of high nutritional value, to alleviate the suffering of the people of the Gaza Strip as a result of the difficult conditions they are exposed to as a result of the war.”

The World Food Programme has described Gaza as “hanging by a thread” and called for it to be allowed deliver more aid to “reverse the path towards famine for thousands of desperately hungry people.”
