Hungry Cormorant Dives for its Dinner in Port Phillip Bay

While freediving in Port Phillip Bay – near Melbourne, Australia – Jules Casey had a close encounter with a cormorant, as seen in this video shared on November 18.

Cormorants are fish eaters, and propel themselves with their feet and wings to maneuver underwater.

This video shows a cormorant paddling its feet and diving several times in search of food along a pier.

Casey posted the video on her Instagram account with the caption: “I absolutely love a cormorant encounter underwater. Watch as this one almost collides with two different divers.” Credit: Jules Casey via Storyful
