Horse Airlifted to Safety After Falling Down Ravine

A horse that fell 60 feet down a ravine in an Orange County park on Monday, September 21, was airlifted to safety by the local fire department.

An OCFA technical rescue team and a helicopter saved eight-year-old Lola after she fell down a ravine in Ronald W Caspers Wilderness Park, in San Juan Capistrano.

Lola’s owner said they had to jump off the horse after she began to buck shortly before she fell down the ravine.

The horse was evaluated by paramedics on the scene and found to be uninjured.
