Heavy Police Presence as Honduran Migrant Caravan Crosses Border into Guatemala

A migrant caravan that departed Honduras on Monday, January 14, was met by heavy police presence as it reached the border crossing to Guatemala, at Agua Caliente, on Tuesday.

Several hundred members of the US-bound caravan presented documents to cross legally into Guatemala, Reuters reported.

Nearly 150 migrants were turned away because they lacked the correct documents, according to Reuters citing local police.
