Good Samaritan Pulls Driver From Burning Wreck on Massachusetts Interstate

Dashcam footage captured the moment a stranger stopped to rescue a driver who was trapped in a burning vehicle after crashing on an interstate in Massachusetts on May 26.

This dashcam footage shows a Good Samaritan pulling the driver out of the flaming wreck on the side of Interstate 495 in Andover. The footage was provided by Harold Greer, who stopped to help when he drove past the accident.

The video later shows Greer and the Good Samaritan moving the injured driver and passenger farther from the fiery crash.

Greer said he didn’t know who the Good Samaritan was, but said the anonymous helper also held the driver’s hand while they waited for an ambulance, according to local media reports.

“It’s something else, when you see someone do something so great for somebody in trouble,” Greer told local media.

Reports said the driver and passenger of the crashed car were taken to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unclear. Credit: Harold Greer via Storyful
