French Government Says 'Yellow Vests' Turnout Decreasing

Around 66,000 people took part in “yellow vests” protests on Saturday, December 15, signaling a demobilization of the movement, Le Figaro reported, citing government figures.

The figures show a reduction in the number of demonstrators with an estimated 126,000 protesters turning out the previous Saturday, December 8, Le Figaro said.

In Paris, riot police used tear gas and water to disperse crowds as about 4,000 protesters turned out.
