Flood Warning Issued as Kennebec River Overflows in Augusta, Maine

A flood warning was issued in Kennebec County, Maine, as the Kennebec River overflowed its banks on Sunday, August 21.

The river drenched Front Street in Augusta, WABI reported. The Augusta Police Department posted photos of the flooded roadside along with this livestream, in which an officer says the river overflowed due to rain and “melting snow up north.”
