Firefighters Spray Water on Flaming Wreckage Following Sapporo Explosion

More than 40 people were injured in an explosion at a shopping complex in the Japanese city of Sapporo on December 16.

According to a report from Kyodo News, the explosion happened at around 8:30 pm in the city’s Toyohira Ward, causing the building to collapse and a fire to break out, injuring men, women and children.
