Firefighters Continue to Battle Blaze on USS Bonhomme Richard

Navy and fire crews continued to battle a blaze on the amphibious assault ship Bonhomme Richard at San Diego Naval Base on Monday, July 13, after a fire tore through the ship the previous day.

Footage captured by the US Navy shows the smoldering ship on July 13. The Navy said 57 sailors and civilian personnel were treated for minor injuries, including heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation. Of those, five remained hospitalized for observation and were listed in stable condition on Monday morning.
