An emergency-level bushfire was threatening properties on the south coast of New South Wales near Currowan on December 3.
The Currowan fire, which has burned through more than 29,000 hectares of bushland, was moving towards the areas of Termeil, Bawley Point, Pebbly Beach, East Lynne and Benandarah.
Residents in Termeil and Flat Rock were told to protect themselves from the heat of the fire as it was “too late to leave”, while those in Kioloa, Depot Beach, Pebbly Beach and Pretty Beach were told to “monitor conditions” and follow bushfire survival plans.
