Fatality Confirmed in Fire at Hospital in Paris Suburb

At least one person was killed and eight injured in a fire at a staff dormitory of a hospital in the Paris suburbs overnight between August 21 and 22.

Martin Hirsch, director general of the Paris public hospitals authority, said the fire was at a residential building on the campus of the Henri Mondor university hospital, in Creteil, on the southern outskirts of Paris.

Hirsh said one person was killed. Le Parisien said four firefighters were among the injured, and that it was a woman who had died.
