Family Rescued From Water in Florida After Boat Capsizes in Strong Winds

A family were rescued from the water after their boat capsized due to strong winds near Davis Islands, Tampa, on October 19.

Four adults and three children were stranded in the water when Tampa police and fire services joined Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies at the scene.

The sheriff said that deputies were able to help a mother, father and their seven-year-old daughter from the water as Tampa Fire Rescue safely recovered the remaining two adults and two children.

The capsized boat was then towed back to a boat ramp and all seven people were assessed by paramedics.
