Evacuations Ordered in Moruya as Rivers Flood After Heavy Rainfall

Evacuations were ordered for the New South Wales South Coast city of Moruya after heavy rainfall caused the river to rise on August 9.

State Emergency Services ordered residents of Moruya’s centre to move to higher ground fearing sewerage lines and power to the area would be lost.
