'Entering a Different Galaxy': Family Spots Massive Shelf Cloud on Fishing Trip Off Cape Cod
A Massachusetts family encountered a massive shelf cloud that stretched across the entire horizon above seawater off Cape Cod.
Julie Purcell filmed a video that showed the boat her family was on approaching the massive cloud during a fishing trip, on August 19.
Purcell told Storyful that the cloud grew “bigger and bigger” which frightened her and her fellow travellers who thought they were all “doomed.”
“We never saw anything like this, we thought we were entering a different galaxy,” Purcell told Storyful. “The most amazingly freaky cloud formation that I have ever witnessed in my life.” Credit: Julie Purcell via Storyful
