Canadian Kylie Negus got the ultimate “welcome home!” when she returned from a four-month university exchange in Japan: her golden retriever, Luna, squirming with delight, greeted her at Ottawa/Macdonald–Cartier International Airport.
In a video recorded by Kylie’s mom, Cindy, in December 2018, the ecstatic pooch can be seen wagging her tail and licking Negus’s face as soon as she pushes her luggage out of arrivals. Negus beams and says, “Hi, sweetheart!”
Before Negus’s trip, Luna had lived with her. “I had barely ever been away from her in her life prior to that,” she told Storyful.
“My parents took great care of her for me, but it was really tough to be away from her, especially since I couldn’t explain to her why,” Negus added. Credit: Cindy Negus via Storyful
