Demonstrators Chant 'Don't Shoot' Before Being Hit With Tear Gas Near White House
Protesters were forcefully dispersed from outside the White House using tear gas and rubber bullets on June 1, reportedly to make way for US President Donald Trump to make an appearance at the nearby St. John’s Church.
The police action reportedly began before the 7 pm curfew came into place across Washington, DC.
These video show protesters standing with their arms raised and chanting “don’t shoot” before police on horseback begin pushing the crowd back. The footage goes on to show protesters retreating, some with their arms still raised, while tear gas and flash bombs are fired.
