Deer Charges at Officer Who Helped Free It From Hammock

A Utah Department of Wildlife Resources officer had to think fast to avoid injury as a deer he had just freed from a hammock charged at him.

Body camera footage from October 14 shows Iron County deputy Dustin Roy and Department of Wildlife Resources officer Kody Jones freeing the deer in the backyard of a residence in Iron County.

As they cut the deer free, it charged at Jones, forcing him to pin it to the ground.

The deer continues to stand its ground and stare at the officers after its second release.
