Deadly Zogg Fire Grows in California's Shasta County

The deadly Zogg Fire burning in Shasta County, California, grew to more than 40,300 acres – about 63 square miles – on Tuesday, September 29, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) said.

Three people were reported to have died and a number of evacuations were ordered as a result of the “fast-moving” Zogg Fire. Cal Fire said the blaze had burned 40,317 acres and was zero percent contained by Tuesday.
