Dark Clouds Hang Over Miami Beach as Tropical Storm Isaias Moves North

Stormy weather persisted in Miami Beach, Florida, as Tropical Storm Isaias moved up the East Coast on Monday, August 3.

Parts of Miami-Dade and Broward counties in South Florida were under a significant weather advisory on Monday. The National Weather Service warned of “strong” thunderstorms and wind speeds up to 45 mph.

Tropical Storm Isaias moved past Florida and made its way toward the Carolinas on Monday afternoon. As of 2 pm on Monday, the storm was 115 miles from Charleston, South Carolina. Forecasters expect Isaias to strengthen into a hurricane and make landfall Monday night.
