Cyclist Swept Off Bike by Crashing Waves in Northern Spain
A young cyclist in A Coruna, in Spain’s northern autonomous community of Galicia, was knocked off his bicycle on January 14 when a large wave crashed over him as he cycled along a pedestrian pier.
Local news outlets had warned that stormy conditions in A Coruna would result in waves of up to eight meters. A yellow warning had been put in place, as winds of up to 85 km/h were forecast.
