Cop's Good Deed Leads to Stinky Punishment From Skunk

It was a case of no good deed goes unpunished for a police officer in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on August 16, as he was sprayed by a skunk immediately after removing a yogurt cup from its head.

Officers with the Cambridge Police Department responded to reports of a skunk in Danehy Dog Park at about 6:30 am.

Upon arrival, they found the skunk with its head in a yogurt cup and running around a parking lot.

Footage of the incident shared by the police department shows Officer McGinty stealthily following the skunk and removing the cup before getting sprayed.

“While we are happy to report that the skunk was freed and uninjured, Officer McGinty’s good deed led to a stinky punishment (and multiple showers),” police said. Credit: Cambridge Police Department via Storyful
