Cold Snap Brings Rare Snow to Rural South Australia

Unusually cold and wet conditions brought snow to the Australian outback in South Australia on August 7, leaving the normally red desert a winter wonderland.

A cold blast of wintry air brought the conditions to Australia in early August, according to the Bureau of Meteorology. Snow was reported in parts of Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales.
