Coast Guard Helicopter Low on Fuel Rescues Man in Puerto Rico

A man in danger of drowning was rescued by helicopter off the coast of Arecibo, Puerto Rico, on September 18, footage released by the Coast Guard shows.

In a press release, the Coast Guard said that the man had been hurled into rocks by waves, leaving him with “severe leg injuries.”

After several attempts that left the MH-65 Dolphin helicopter low on fuel, the crew was able to pull the man to safety. The man was later transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Credit: US Coast Guard via Storyful
