Coast Guard Airlifts Motorist Stuck Atop Vehicle Amid Record Flooding in Washington

A US Coast Guard (USCG) helicopter crew rescued five people trapped in major flooding along the Grays River in Washington state on Tuesday, December 5, the coast guard said in a press release.

This footage was filmed by Nicole Langer in Rosburg. Langer said it showed her neighbor being rescued from the top of their truck after getting stranded in the floodwaters.

The USCG also rescued four other people from a nearby home that was surrounded by around four feet of water, they said. All five were in stable condition, they added.
