Cleveland Heights Police Break Down Door to Rescue Woman From House Fire

Police officers in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, rescued a woman from a burning house on Wednesday, September 9.

Police and firefighters responded to a fire on Lee Road at around 6:40 pm, where they were alerted to a woman inside the house on the second floor.

Officers entered the home but the smoke was “thick and heavy” and they could not see. Officers called out her name but they could not locate her.

Soon after exiting the house, officers heard the woman call for help from the rear of the house. They forced open the door and carried the woman to safety.
