Cleanup Begins After Herald Square Storefronts Damaged in New York City

Storefronts were damaged by looters on Monday, June 1, in New York, New York, despite a new curfew and increased police presence, local media reported.

Local media reported that more than 200 people were arrested on Monday after looting and protests erupted again in the wake of the police-involved death of George Floyd. Reports said several stores were damaged, including the flagship Macy’s department store.
