New Yorkers erupted in loud cheers and applause to show appreciation for health care workers fighting the coronavirus, video shared on April 8 shows.

Residents in the city have nightly been joining in a “Clap Because We Care” moment to show their appreciation for front-line workers amid the coronavirus outbreak in the city.
