Chinchilla Rides on Pig's Back Through Child Palliative Care Facility

Ben, a chinchilla, and his pal Christopher, a pig, both come from unfortunate backgrounds, but that did not stop them from putting smiles on the faces of several children at a palliative care facility in Montreal, Canada, earlier this month.

Montreal resident Melissa Trihey, who runs the Furballs Inc social pages, works with Le Phare Enfants et Familles, to help bring joy to the children receiving care at the center.

On Valentine’s Day, Trihey took the two rescue animals to Le Phare Enfants et Familles and allowed them to meet and play with the children.

“Our 2 rescue pets Ben the Chinchilla and Christopher the Pig spent the morning putting smiles on these beautiful children’s faces,” Trihey wrote in the caption of the Instagram post, reflecting on the experience.

Christopher has been to Le Phare Enfants et Familles before to raise awareness and donations, and Trihey intends to continue their partnership. A donation link for the organization is available on the Furballs Inc Instagram page. Credit: @furballsinc via Storyful
