Canary Islands Dust Storm Turns Sky a Dull Orange

A Saharan dust storm that swept across the Canary Islands over the weekend led to travel chaos with flights disrupted and delayed on February 24.

The storm also brought what’s known as mud rain, or red rain, as rainfall washed the dust out of the atmosphere on February 23, according to local reports.
