Burst Water Main Blocks Access to London Polling Station

A burst water main in Bermondsey, south London, was blocking access to a polling station early on December 12, the day of the UK’s general election.

Video here shows engineers at the scene on Southwark Park Road, off Jamaica Road, as water gushes from the pipe, flooding the road outside the Cherry Garden Hall polling station.

“We’re aware of the burst pipe and our engineers are on their way to investigate further and then begin the repairs. We’ll work as quickly as we can to fix this.” Thames Water said on Twitter. Credit: Graham Kings via Storyful
