Bottles and Condiments Sent Flying During Aston Villa-Legia Warsaw Fan Violence

Fans were seen throwing bottles and other objects back-and-forth during violent clashes between Aston Villa and Legia Warsaw supporters in Birmingham on Thursday evening, November 30.

In the footage, recorded by @SamAV23, a number of fans can be seen throwing bottles towards supporters in Villa Park from a road outside. At one point a man can be seen grabbing condiments from a burger van and throwing them at the crowd. The supporters inside the stadium are seen throwing the items back.

West Midlands Police said they had 46 people in custody. Four officers were injured during 90 minutes of "sustained violence, police added.

Police said the disorder was “believed to have sparked when tickets were not distributed by the away club to supporters outside the ground, as had been anticipated.”
