Bernie Shows He Got Game Ahead of Town Hall Event in Las Vegas

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders took a break from campaigning on Sunday, November 17, to shoot some hoops outside the East Las Vegas Community Center, where he was due to host a town hall on immigration.

The video, posted to the Twitter account of Jane O’Meara Sanders, his wife, shows Sanders sinking five shots in a row, with O’Meara Sanders accusing him of “showing off” after the fourth.

Faiz Shakir, Sanders’s campaign manager, told Newsweek: “He’s a basketball fan, but he rarely has time to shoot hoops while campaigning. But anytime we see a court, he’ll ask if he can get a few minutes to shoot around.”
