A six-story apartment building partially collapsed on Sunday, May 28, in Davenport, Iowa, authorities said.
Eight people were rescued from the wreckage and no deaths were reported, Davenport Fire Chief Michael Carlsten said in a press conference on Monday.
Emergency crews used dogs trained in cadaver detection and rescue to search through the rubble, Carlsten said.
Firefighters discovered a large natural gas leak and a water leak at the building, but the cause of the collapse was not immediately clear. Credit: @HPJG2020 via Storyful
