Aerial Footage Shows Australian Fire Crews Backburning Around Gospers Mountain Blaze

As the Gospers Mountain ‘mega fire’ continued to burn on December 12, Australian fire crews conducted a number of backburns to try to control the spread of the blaze.

Video posted by the NSW Rural Fire Service shows crews in the Gospers Mountain area carrying out backburns close to roads and properties in the area.

The fire service said that the blaze in Wollemi National Park now covered 360,000 hectares (about 1,390 square miles).
