Dave Chappelle Tackled by Audience Member During LA Performance
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) say a man who tackled Dave Chappelle on stage during a performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles late on May 3 was armed with a replica gun containing a hidden blade, according to local media.
This clip shows someone tackling the comedian, who was performing as part of the Netflix Is a Joke festival.
Other video shot later that night shows a man being loaded into an ambulance outside the venue.
According to ABC 7 and NBC Los Angeles, police said the suspect, named as 23-year-old Isaiah Lee, had been taken to hospital with superficial injuries. Neither Chappelle nor officers were injured, the reports said.
Videos later showed an unharmed Chappelle continuing the show.
